Starry Romance
A romance can turn from sweet to sour on a wrong word, a foolish gesture or even a small untimely frown. But what if we lived in multiverse (as opposed to a universe) in which all the different permutations of our action can play out, so we can judge the consequences for ourselves? Constellations is the 2012 play that combines romance and scientific theory so seamlessly, it became an instant hit on West End and Broadway. It is now playing in Singapore, with actors Edward Harrison and Stephanie Street as a beekeeper and a quantum cosmologist respectively whose romance flourishes, then fails. Produced by the Singapore Repertory Theatre, Constellations runs from now till March 25 at KC Arts Centre - Home of SRT. Tickets from S$45 at Sistic.
