Take-No-Prisoners Theatre
Director Thomas Ostermeier is one of the most celebrated theatre-makers in the world. And his contemporary staging of Henrik Ibsen's 1882 classic An Enemy Of The People is a gritty, take-no-prisoners, shout-to-the-rooftops celebration of one man's struggle against the system. The plot centres on a doctor who discovers that his spa town's waters are contaminated, but is prevented from telling the truth. Produced by Schaubühne Berlin, this is one of the hottest tickets at the Singapore International Festival of Arts. Performed in German with English surtitles.
The play runs from May 11 to 12 at Esplanade Theatre. Tickets from Sistic.
