Time To Buy Art
Walls look empty? No time to visit individual galleries? Check out the second edition of S.E.A. Focus, an art platform featuring 20 galleries showcasing 35 artists creating works connected to Southeast Asia. Good galleries such as China's Vitamin Creative Space, Indonesia's ROH Projects, Vietnam's CUC Gallery and Singapore's STPI - which, incidentally, is also the platform's organiser - are among the participants. Meanwhile, the artists they're showcasing include Thai stars Rirkrit Tiravanija and Mit Jai Inn (pictured), Vietnam-born heavyweight Danh Vo and Indonesia's Melati Suryodarmo. On Jan 17, Gillman Barracks is simultaneously hosting its regular late-night party Art After Dark when all galleries in the art precinct stay open till late.
S.E.A. Focus runs from now till Jan 19 at Gillman Barracks.
