Author's fight for freedom
WHETHER she's writing her next bestseller, penning a column for the online opinion site Project Syndicate, or speaking out in support of feminism, Naomi Wolf is driven by one passion - her fight for freedom.
"Freedom of speech, of assembly, worship or expression. freedom from violence and coercion and surveillance. Freedom to dream and share. Related to this is respect for the rule of law - they go together," says the 51-year-old American author, who is also known as a political activist and social critic.
She is a co-founder of The Woodhull Institute for Ethical Leadership - an organisation that teaches young women about leadership, and The American Freedom Campaign - a grassroots democracy movement in the US.
