    ABOUT 40 children who were taking part in a pastry-making workshop at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) found that the event was sweetened by a special appearance of former Manchester United and Real Madrid football star David Beckham.

    The 42-year-old ex-England international visited The Bird Southern Table & Bar restaurant on Sunday morning and interacted with the children as they had fun decorating the many doughnuts and cupcakes placed in front of them.
