BARGAIN hunters, spend this weekend trawling through the wares at the Club 21 Bazaar, back at the Pit Building, Republic Boulevard. With up to 85 per cent off looks from brands such as 3.1 Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, ck Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana, even the most veteran shopaholic needs a game plan.

Lani Chan, the head of style services at Club 21, suggests that women wear a full or A-line skirt and top. Because there are no fitting rooms, one could slip a pair of shorts or trousers under a skirt to try it on. Meanwhile, stylist and former fashion director for men's fashion magazines, Brenda Tham, advises blokes to try on trousers over their own lightweight skinny pants, unless they're comfortable with stripping down to their skivvies.

The best investment pieces, notes Ms Chan, are "first line brands like Lanvin, Dries Van Noten, Marni and Nina Ricci". She also plans to visit the sale on different days as stock will be replenished, and "because you might look at the same items through a different perspective".
