Battle Bots

You know the summer movie season is just around the corner when superheroes, monsters and robots start taking over multiplexes. Warming up the screen is Pacific Rim: Uprising, the sequel to the 2013 original directed by Guillermo del Toro.

He's not in the director's seat this time, leaving things instead to Steven S. DeKnight who is best known for creating the television series Spartacus.

Like in the first film, monsters (Kaiju) and robots (Jaeger) go head-to-head in battles so noisy you won't even hear yourself asking, "What happened to the plot?"
