ASICS has partnered with Novak Djokovic to launch a new tennis shoe named after the Serbian tennis pro. The Gel-Resolution Novak was unveiled just ahead of the 12-time Grand Slam singles winner's appearance at the Australian Open in Melbourne last month.
It was developed at the ASICS Institute of Sport Science where years of research and analysis were carried out on the motions and performances of professional tennis players like Djokovic. The Lateral Support Brace enhances stability on the forefoot while the redesigned FlexionFit upper is covered in polyurethane for support and comfort. Additional emphasis on rearfoot support and stability comes from the External Heel Counter.
