A Blooming Story
Flowers help create a sanctuary for this homeowner

FIRST-TIME HOMEOWNER SHARON TAN leads a double life of sorts. By day, she runs Full Bleed, her small graphic design studio. By night and on weekends, she puts on an interior designer hat for her recently set up Millimetre Interiors.
But she didn't set out to dabble in two branches of design. "My design practice encompasses both print and product, and designing interiors seemed like a natural progression," says Ms Tan, who is in her 40s.
All the skills accumulated in precise measurements over the years came in handy. When she got the keys to her apartment in Tampines, it never crossed her mind to design her own home. "But as I looked around, I realised I didn't want a home that was someone else's idea of a sanctuary," she says. "I wanted a deeply personal space, something to call my own entirely."
