MODERN high-performance cars offer the driving enthusiast many things. They've never been as powerful and fast yet simultaneously easy to control, safe, and refined. That's all been made possible through new technologies - high-compression turbocharging, precise computer control and so on - but the big negative is that sometimes it feels like the car is driving you, not the other way around.
The BMW M2 Competition is a rare counterpoint to that, building on the success of the base model.
