Bon Again
Grammy-winning indie folk rock act Bon Iver is back to play Singapore after it sold out its last gig here in 2016. Conceived and fronted by singer-songwriter Justin Vernon, the tour comes on the back of the band's fourth and latest studio album i,i (2019). Described as a fall record, it completes the cycle which began with Bon Iver's icy and winter-y debut For Emma, Forever Ago (2008), the spring-inspired self-titled (2011) follow-up, and its ''crazy energy summer work'' 22, A Million (2016). On what i,i means, Vernon says, ''The title of the record can mean whatever it means to you or me - it can mean deciphering and bolstering one's identity; it can be how important the self is, and how we're all connected.''
Bon Iver plays The Star on Jan 17 at 8pm. Book from Sistic or at the venue.
