Born cycling! Mountain biking for a clear mind

Being constantly tested and challenged during mountain biking keeps Andreas D Joergensen fit, focused and confident

ENGAGING in sports is a way for me to take a step back from things, clear my mind and reset. Oftentimes, this has given me new ideas on how to approach opportunities and challenges in the business world.

One such sport is running. I have been running most of my life, with 3 marathons and countless half-marathons. It continues to be an important element of me staying physically and mentally fit. I am fortunate enough to live a short walk away from the Botanic Gardens, which is where you will likely find me running most weekday evenings or during lunch breaks. The fresh air and steady rhythm of running has oftentimes inspired a new outlook on tackling key business issues.

While I enjoy running, my true passion is mountain biking. Being Danish, you could say that I was born cycling! Going beyond cycling, I got my first mountain bike when I was around 10 years old, but I only took it up seriously about 3 years ago.
