BT illustration wins in global design awards

THE Business Times (BT) has clinched an excellence award from the US-based Society for News Design (SND) for an illustration it published in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo attacks early last year.

The award was won by the paper's infographics editor, Simon Ang, for his illustration, "A Silent Vigil for Charlie Hebdo" (above). He won the award in the editorial cartoons category of the Best of News Design Creative Competition.
