BT Luxe: The global players
WELCOME to autumn, as we unveil the latest BT Luxe: a travel-themed issue that looks not just at where to go, but also the business opportunities that lie beyond our shores.
Meet our global players – savvy business personalities who are making an impact beyond their home base. First in line is Kiat Lim, the son of Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim, who is fast establishing himself as a force in his own right. He tells us about his leadership style and plans for his stable of businesses that include RSP Architects Planners & Engineers, Thomson Medical Group and Spanish football club Valencia.
Next up is Naphaporn “Lek” Bodiratnangkura, scion of Thailand’s Nai Lert Group who went from hard-partying socialite to savvy businesswoman, building up the family’s hospitality interests that include the uber-luxurious Aman Nai Lert in Bangkok.
Rounding up the trio is Stephanie Chai, the founder and CEO of Luxe Nomad, who shares how she transformed her company from a flash sale website to the region’s luxury holiday rental manager, managing a portfolio of high-end villas and rooms to the tune of US$63 million in annual sales.
Meanwhile, pack your bags for your next travel adventure as we take you on safari to Kenya, train-spotting in Kyushu, wining and dining in Margaret River and culture-seeking in Kyoto.
Also, read our exclusive interview with iconic Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, then indulge in retail and F&B therapy with our features on watches, jewellery, whisky and more. Don’t miss your issue of BT Luxe, which comes free with your copy of BT this Friday.
