Bangles for your buck
Complete every outfit with one of these on your wrist.

THERE IS SOMETHING VERY NAKED about a wrist without accoutrements, so women should really wear a watch on one wrist, and a bangle or two on the other.
Depending on the occasion, bangles help you to quickly dress things up on big occasions, or dial it down for work.
For the former, High Jewellery is the way to go. Chanel’s Comète Volute bracelet in white gold and diamonds is a signature piece from its 1932 collection, and plays on the celestial theme. The diamond-studded white gold tail of a shooting star, centred by a round-cut diamond, swirls around the wrist while carrying an oval-cut yellow diamond of almost 20 carats.
Another statement piece to consider comes from Gucci’s Allegoria High Jewellery collection. The yellow gold bracelet from its Autumn chapter is decorated with the warm hues of mandarin garnets, colourful sapphires and diamonds.
For something more casual, we really love the Tiffany Lock bangle. Defined by modern clean lines and a wonderfully inventive clasp mechanism, the design re-envisions the padlock – a key motif from The Tiffany Archives – in different combinations of gold, and with or without diamonds. It is truly hard to pick a favourite.
Another sleek piece to consider is a simple but lovely design from Dior. A rose stem-inspired creation, the Bois de Rose bangle curves around the wrist, while thorns become gentle barbs of diamond-studded gold.
Finally, we are partial to Van Cleef & Arpels’ Perlée pearls of gold bangle, where five rows of golden Perlée beads form a shimmering circle around the wrist. For a bit more sparkle, the bangle is also available in a version with a centre row of diamonds, flanked by a row of golden beads on either side.
