Clean lines
Patek Philippe's new perpetual calendar is easy on the eyes.
Patek Philippe's lineup of five new timepieces includes two calendar watches and updated Calatrava models:
REF 5236P-001 IN-LINE PERPETUAL CALENDAR
The star of the latest collection displays the day, date and month across in a straight line at 12 o'clock, which is a first for the brand. The linear layout on a vertical satin-finish blue dial offers a more intuitive view and natural reading of the calendar indication than the classic arrangement of three sub-dials -and it makes for a very clean and uncluttered dial as well. These are made possible by a new automatic movement which has three patent applications filed. While the new calibre requires more parts and is more complex, Patek Philippe contains the mechanism in a sleek platinum case that's just 41.3 mm wide and 11.07 mm high.

REF 4947/1A-001
This is the first time offering of a Patek Philippe annual calendar in a round 38 mm Calatrava-type steel case. The watch, with a moon-phase display on a blue dial, also features a new integrated steel bracelet. Patek Philippe invented the annual calendar mechanism in 1996 and its patented annual calendar timepiece requires only one correction a year.

REFS 6119R-001 AND 6119G-001 CALATRAVA CLOUS DE PARIS
Patek Philippe's classic Calatrava has been around since 1932 and in its latest iteration, the iconic bezel is dressed in a guilloche 'Clous de Paris' pattern for a more contemporary look, and nestled in a slightly bigger 39 mm case. The guilloche bezel is given a somewhat wider chamfered profile as well as a thin, polished fillet that frames the box-form sapphire crystal. The new Calatrava, which comes in a rose gold and a white gold version, is also fitted with a new hand wound movement with 65 hours' power reserve.
