JEWELLERY DESIGNS MAY COME AND go, yet the most classic collections endure the test of time.

For Italian luxury jeweller, Bvlgari, these instantly recognisable forms continue to be explored in exciting new iterations.

Without doubt, one of its most distinctive and successful collections is the B.zero1.

It all started in 1999 with a ring evoking Rome’s famous Colosseum that daringly fused an industrial-inspired technique with the Roman inscription characterising Bvlgari’s logo.

Minimalistic yet impactful, the B.zero1 universe has since grown to include bangles, pendants, earrings, necklaces and watches, with each addition eagerly anticipated and embraced.

Another seminal design for the Roman jeweller is its icon of metamorphosis – the Serpenti. Known for its suppleness and ability to evolve, this uniquely Bvlgari snake symbol has been transforming and renewing since its creation in 1948 as jewellery watches.

Sleek and ultra-contemporary, the Serpenti’s stylised scale motif now coils enchantingly around fingers and wrists, and hangs from necklaces and ear lobes.

Of course, Bvlgari is also known for its exquisite watches, and in particular, its Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC watch. The timepiece has given the Roman brand its ninth world record at just 1.7 mm slim. The world’s thinnest mechanical watch is also resistant to shocks and magnetic fields.

Most of all perhaps, it stands as a testament to Bvlgari’s relentless drive to push boundaries in innovation and design – and why its icons are perennial favourites.
