A TIME FOR BOTH REJOICING and showcasing perennial favourites, Christmas at Chanel is as fun and fabulous as you can get.

For a start, the spirit of Chanel’s icons are alive across its different jewellery collections. There are the star and comet, which long inspired founder Gabrielle Chanel, her lucky number 5 and her much-loved and perfectly symmetrical flower, the camellia. Add to that the famous ribbon design drawn from couture and Coco Crush’s instantly recognisable quilted motif taken from the maison’s 2.55 handbag and you have a dance of alluring Chanel symbols to pick from.

But let’s begin with its long necklaces, which are a house heritage emblematic of the Chanel style. Very much representative of Mademoiselle Chanel’s vision of uninhibited freedom in movement, these are not merely pretty sautoirs, but extremely versatile creations.

Thanks to the magic of two, never-before-seen moveable clasps invented by the maison, the necklaces can be worn in multiple ways – as a long necklace, multi-row bracelet, double-row or y-shaped necklace or even as a belt. That’s true creativity and adaptability, in the spirit of the highly imaginative Mademoiselle Chanel.

Variety and choice are also concepts held in high regard by the maison, and perfectly encapsulated by the many design and stacking options offered by Chanel’s gorgeous bracelets.

This year, adding to the Coco Crush bracelet repertoire are seven new mini versions in varying gold colours, with or without diamonds. These sparkling pieces also feature an exclusive rotating and invisible Coco Twist clasp which makes them ever so comfortable and convenient to wear.

Speaking of clasps, the Eternal N°5 bracelet has its own sleek enclosure, featuring a single diamond at one end of a flexible cuff that fits nicely into the curve of the diamond-studded number 5 at the other. Absolutely brilliant.

Of course, Chanel’s celebrated icons are also seen in its wonderful selection of watches, rings and other lovely things.

Only question is, which ones will you be getting under the Christmas tree?
