A Lange & Sohne steals the show with trio of exquisite novelties at Watches and Wonders 2025
The Glashutte master unveils a groundbreaking minute repeater perpetual calendar, a refined 1815, and a luxurious honey gold Odysseus, reaffirming its position at the pinnacle of haute horlogerie
A LANGE & SOHNE, THE revered Saxon watchmaker, once again captivated the horological world at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025 with the unveiling of three exceptional timepieces that seamlessly blend technical innovation with timeless elegance.
The trio of novelties – the Minute Repeater Perpetual, the new-generation 1815, and the Odysseus Honeygold – showcases the brand’s unwavering commitment to horological artistry and its ability to push the boundaries of fine watchmaking.
Minute Repeater Perpetual
The undisputed headliner is the Minute Repeater Perpetual, a magnificent creation powered by the newly developed L122.2 calibre. Housed in a stately 950 platinum case, this limited edition of just 50 pieces features a manually wound movement that orchestrates the intricate dance of a minute repeater with the astronomical precision of a perpetual calendar.
The clarity of the repeater’s chimes, produced by two meticulously tuned gongs, is enhanced by patented innovations such as a hammer blocker and pause elimination. The perpetual calendar, complete with a moon-phase display accurate for over a century and a day/night indicator, ensures the wearer remains informed of the date and time with unparalleled accuracy, automatically accounting for leap years and varying month lengths.
The artisanal spirit of Lange is further evident in the exquisite enamel dial, crafted in-house, its four-part construction in white gold providing a backdrop of understated elegance for the wealth of information displayed. The meticulously finished L122.2 calibre boasts 640 individual parts, including 54 jewels and four screwed gold chatons, reflecting the brand’s dedication to exquisite movement construction and finishing.

1815
Paying homage to the brand’s founder, Ferdinand Adolph Lange, the 1815 collection welcomes a new model driven by the newly developed and meticulously finished L152.1 calibre. Available in a more discreet 34 mm case in either 750 pink or white gold, this elegant timepiece caters to those who appreciate understated sophistication and exceptional wearing comfort.
The manually wound L152.1 calibre – the brand’s 75th in-house movement since its re-establishment – is a feast for the eyes, featuring the iconic three-quarter plate with Glashutte ribbing, hand-engraved balance cock, thermally blued screws and gold chatons, all visible through the sapphire crystal case back.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the movement boasts an innovative oscillation system with an in-house crafted balance spring and a robust 72-hour power reserve. Comprising 171 parts and 21 jewels, the movement underscores Lange’s commitment to precision and longevity.
The clean lines of the dial, with its refined Arabic numerals and railway-track minute scale, further enhance the timeless charm of this new 1815.
Odysseus Honeygold
In a bold yet sophisticated move, A Lange & Sohne introduces a new iteration of its sporty-elegant Odysseus in its exclusive honey-gold alloy, complete with a matching bracelet – a first for the Odysseus collection and a rare occurrence for Lange with precious metals since the early 2000s.
This limited edition of 100 pieces exudes a unique warmth and luxuriousness, perfectly complemented by a rich brown dial.
Honey gold, a proprietary 18-carat gold alloy, is not only visually distinctive with its subtle, shifting hue between pink and white gold depending on the light, but also significantly harder than standard gold alloys and even more durable than platinum, presenting considerable challenges in manufacturing.
The 40.5 mm case retains the robust construction of the Odysseus, offering water resistance up to 12 bar, making it a truly versatile timepiece. The large day and date displays, a hallmark of the collection, ensure excellent legibility, while the luminous hands and hour markers further enhance its practicality.
The meticulous finishing, combining brushed surfaces and chamfered edges, extends to the seamlessly integrated five-row, honey-gold bracelet, making this Odysseus a statement of refined sporty elegance.
A trio of triumphs
With these three distinct yet equally compelling novelties, A Lange & Sohne has once again demonstrated its mastery of haute horlogerie, seamlessly blending intricate mechanics, exceptional craftsmanship, and innovative use of materials.
The Minute Repeater Perpetual stands as a testament to the pinnacle of horological complication, the new 1815 offers a refined take on classic design, and the Odysseus Honeygold introduces a new level of luxurious sportiness to a beloved collection.
These timepieces are not just instruments for telling time; they are wearable works of art, embodying the rich heritage and unwavering pursuit of perfection that define A Lange & Sohne, and are undoubtedly destined to become future icons.
