Star jewellery
Take your pick of celebrity-endorsed jewellery and make them your own.
LUXURY JEWELLERY BRANDS HAVE traditionally enjoyed associations with celebrities who help increase their aspirational appeal. Of late, these brand ambassadors have also become more diverse, reaching out to wider and younger audiences.
The DNA of the individual jewellery collections, however, remain the same, with those fronted by celebrities often being signature pieces emblematic of what each maison stands for. If you're looking to add some sparkle to your own outfit for a small party or intimate dinner, find out what some of these jewellery houses have in store to make you stand out from the rest.
CARTIER
Digging even deeper into its archival design codes is Cartier with its Clash de Cartier collection. In a complex feat of craftsmanship, the French maison's aesthetic heritage of studs, beads and clous carrés (square nails) are shaken up to form a unique jewellery signature. The pieces simultaneously champion and eschew classic forms, balance clean design with an excess of energy, and a serious spirit with original charm. Pick from rose or white gold rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces in an intriguing combination of sharp looks and soft edges, geometric shapes with feminine curves and fixed and moveable parts.
To capture the duality of this collection, Kaya Scodelario was chosen as the face of Clash de Cartier, because the English-Brazilian actress "combines the aristocratic codes with a touch of irreverence and elegance".
TIFFANY
Fronting the 2021 Tiff any HardWear digital campaign as its new global ambassador is Roseanne Park (Rosé) from South Korean girl group, Blackpink. An extremely influential young woman in both music and fashion, Rosé also smashed records when she released her first solo album in March.
Tiff any says Rosé embodies the attitude and identity of the collection, which is based on a 1971 bracelet from The Tiff any Archive and first debuted in 2017. Inspired by the edge and energy of New York City, the Tiff any HardWear campaign highlights the 18k gold collection's bold designs, with gauge links and industrial shapes playing with tension, proportion and balance in earrings, bracelets and necklaces.
BVLGARI
The B.zero1 collection is an iconic one for Italian jeweller Bvlgari. Its distinctive design was created in 1999 when the lines of Rome's Colosseum were fused with the industrial inspiration of tubes to form the cylindrical and unconventional look of the B.zero1 ring.
Since then, this combination of avant-garde and Roman inspiration has come in fferent iterations, with the latest being the studded core of the B.zero1 Rock collection.
For its 2021 Bvlgari brand campaign, the B.zero1 Rock collection is sported by Hollywood star Zendaya and Thai musician and K-pop idol Lalisa Manoban (Lisa) of Blackpink.
With irreverent studs set on the central band as its distinguishing feature, the B.zero1 Rock line of rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets and necklaces are fashioned in rose gold with black ceramic highlights or yellow gold studded with diamonds.
The hero of the collection, however, is the dazzling 18k white gold necklace, made with a total of 7.20 carats of pavé diamonds.
LOUIS VUITTON
Selected because they embody the collection's bold metaphor for rhythm, movement and energy, Louis Vuitton's campaign for its LV Volt jewellery collection features four diverse talents. They are its brand ambassador and Oscar-winning actress, Alicia Vikander, principal dancer at the Paris Opera Ballet, Hugo Marchand, artist and model, Sharon Alexie and Chinese model, Mao XiaoXing.
Made in yellow or white-gold, with or without diamonds, LV Volt transcends both borders and genders. The 36 unisex pieces comprising rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces and bracelets celebrate the letters L and V, with the brand's initials forming an architectural design.
CHAUMET
Korean actress Song Hye Kyo is Chaumet's brand ambassador in Asia, and fronts the Parisian jeweller's revisit of its emblematic Bee My Love collection, where the bee motif is treated in a modern and abstract manner. The fference this time is in its innovative Taille Impératrice (Empress Cut), which it says gives diamonds extraordinary brilliance and fire.
This unique diamond cut boasts 88 facets and is integrated into Bee My Love's mirror-polished gold honeycomb design through its hexagonal shape. The orientation of the facets has been conceived to capture more light rays and return them by increasing their intensity - the result of a long process of research and creativity.
The collection combines diamonds with rose, yellow or white gold on necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings, with endless "spontaneous opportunities for self-expression".
