FASHION HAS ALWAYS HAD a fascination for the bold graphics of the tiger - tiger stripes having become something of a fashion staple, reminiscent of a certain type of Joan Collins glamour. And so, it isn't surprising that many luxury labels (Balenciaga, Gucci, Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, to name but a few) have rushed out Tiger Year festive capsules that come littered with tiger motifs - stripes and all. Well and good for the fearless: For the unconvinced who don't want to be a walking meme or be mistaken for being part of the Chinatown light-up, we suggest dressing for the occasion by keeping tiger motifs to small accents, and instead, burning bright in fiery feline shades of amber, tan, brick, orange and gold.
