Wonton noodles and Texas barbecue gather side by side at Cluny Food Court in Botanic Gardens, the latest concept by the Les Amis Group. After giving up its original Casa Verde spot, it's opened the new hawker-style eatery in an equally verdant spot that houses familiar names like Mui Kee Congee and Peperoni Pizza, which will open its sister brand Piccante Pronto. Upcoming hawker-preneurs such as Laifaba Express and Project Penyek by Ansar are two new names joining the fold. The former specialises in roast meats like char siew and wonton noodles, while the latter features the likes of ayam penyet and Roxy satay from the original 1980s stall in Katong. Spanning some 4,000 sq ft with seating for 47 diners with safe distancing, this casual eatery opens officially on Nov 1.
