'Cakes' to mark National Day

WHAT was your favourite kueh when you were growing up?
For local artist Angela Chong, it was the multi-coloured, multi-layered kueh known as lapis sagu - the one you eat layer by layer because peeling it is half the fun.
So it was a fond walk down memory lane for the 37-year-old artist when she decided to do a kueh-inspired mixed media installation titled The Art of Celebration for this year's National Day.
