Cantopop kings are a perfect match both on and offstage

THERE is no such thing as a generation gap when it comes to music - just look at the partnership that Cantopop kings Alan Tam, 63, and Hacken Lee, 46, have forged over the last decade.

Their double act has become one of the most commercially successful live shows not only back home in Hong Kong but also in the United States, Canada, China, Macau, Malaysia and Singapore, where they have performed together over 100 times.

And to think that the partnership was "accidentally" formed when reporters at a joint press conference misunderstood that they were planning to perform together - when it was actually meant to promote their individual shows.
