AN EAGLE and three birdies saw Cedric Bourdy take the individual honours in the first leg of the Business Times Corporate Golf League at the Singapore Island Country Club's Island course on Thursday.
On a perfect day for golf with the sun taking occasional peeps from behind the clouds, Bourdy stole the limelight with a one-over 73 score that converted to 41 stableford points.
Playing for Bank of Singapore, he drew loud applause when the 100-over diners at the function room heard that he was also a cousin of former French No 1 Gregory Bourdy, who played in three Majors and was a four-time winner on the European Tour.
