GREY hair, age spots and wrinkles come with ageing, but French photographer Jose Jeuland feels that these physical traits should be celebrated.

“There are many people who believe that ageing is a bad thing because of the unfounded stigma surrounding the concept of growing old,” says Jeuland. “But I believe that ageing is what an individual makes it out to be.”

Jeuland, a commercial photographer, is no stranger to photographing elderly people. In 2017, he photographed the Haenyeo, the female divers from Jeju Island, who were between 60 and 83 years old. In 2019, he held an exhibition titled Longevity Okinawa, featuring individuals from 89 to 106 years old.
