Celebrating Singapore's best visual artists
The upcoming Singapore Eye volume will showcase 75 of the Republic's top contemporary artists, reports HELMI YUSOF
EACH book is about 400 pages long, measures 24cm by 24cm, and weighs at least two kg - and that's the paperback version, mind you, not the hardcover one.
But for South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong, the Eye books have become useful basic guides to their contemporary arts scenes.
With their full-colour pages and comprehensive lists of artists, the books offer a friendly crash course for anyone unfamiliar with the visual arts in those countries.
