Celebrity hairstylists: fading trend or going strong?

IN an innocuous filing on the Singapore Exchange last month, it was announced that celebrity hairstylist Addy Lee’s Monsoon Hairdressing group would be liquidated due to financial liabilities. With another big-name salon Rossano Ferretti Hairspa folding after a year of opening in 2017, it seems like star power is no longer a draw amid a proliferation of trendy hair salons offering plush services and the latest Korean or Japanese-influenced hairstyles.
