THE prestigious Prix Pictet, a global photography award, is gracing Singapore for the first time in a captivating display of visual storytelling. Over 100 striking images by 12 photographers depict a mosaic of human experiences in the face of increasing environmental challenges.

These provocative snapshots hail from over a dozen countries, including Ukraine, Iceland, Iran, Peru and Colombia, and have been selected for their fluid narratives, subject originality, as well as technical proficiency.

The Prix Pictet was established in 2008 by the Pictet Group, a Swiss private bank, in collaboration with the Pictet Foundation. For the past 15 years, it has awarded the top prize of 100,000 Swiss francs (currently S$156,483) to photographers that show a commitment to telling stories themed around sustainability.
