ChildAid 2021 searches for young virtuosos
The annual charity concert by BT and ST returns to the live stage this year. BY HELMI YUSOF
VIRTUOSO is the theme of ChildAid 2021, an annual charity concert that raises money for The Business Times Budding Artists Fund and The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.
The organisers are now searching for exactly that - young virtuosos from the ages of six to 19 who can perform at a live concert in December that will be streamed simultaneously to viewers at home.
Artistic director Jeremiah Choy says: "ChildAid has a long history of championing child stars who went on to pursue successful careers in music or music-related industries, such as singer-composer Nathan Hartono, classical guitarist Kevin Loh, composer-conductor Julian Wong and singer-songwriter Kiki Noble.
