Chinese Cinema's Finest

    The Singapore Chinese Film Festival returns for its fifth edition from April 28 to May 7 with a line-up of non-mainstream award-winning works that don't usually get a general release in cinemas here. Get set for 45 titles including documentaries and restored classics that will appeal to all tastes. Highlights include the opening film Mad World, from up-and-coming Hong Kong filmmaker Wong Chun, and starring Shawn Yue and Eric Tsang; Zhang Dalei's The Summer Is Gone (53rd Golden Horse Award Best Feature Film winner); and gangster drama Trivisa which scooped Best Film and Best Director at the recent Hong Kong Film Awards.
