SINGAPORE businessman Sukamto Sia was ordered by the High Court to pay a whopping S$132.32 million in damages to Indonesian mining magnate Low Tuck Kwong in relation to a defamation suit.
The decision on the quantum of damages was made by High Court Justice Belinda Ang at a hearing on Tuesday and follows Mr Low's victory in his defamation suit against friend-turned-rival Mr Sia at Singapore's highest court in November 2013.
