    01 ANIMAL INSTINCT

Leopard, zebra and snakeskin prints are popular prints that stay on heavy rotation season after season. This Spring, Dalmatian prints are introduced at Burberry and creative director Riccardo Tisci reimagines the canine and sexy animal prints in an unexpectedly chic way. Tie-dye has always been associated with the bohemian free spirit of the '70s. But this season, they take on a more fashion-forward vibe. Colour combinations are less jarring and more sophisticated. Designers utilise more superior fabric choices for the prints and break free from stereotypical boho dresses and T-shirts to create tailored jackets, straight-cut skirts and trousers.

    03 ARTISTIC VISION

Abstract, scenic or portraits, art and fashion have always shared an inextricable link. At Mugler, artist Samara Scott's paintings are seen on tailored dresses and skirts while at Moschino, crayola-like scribbles are splashed across white dresses and jackets to even hosiery and hats. In turn, Louis Vuitton pairs flashy art designs with structured ensembles that boast a tailoring finesse.

You can trust forward-thinking designers to give favourite patterns like stripes a new lease of life. Fashion is all about excitement and Dries van Noten proved it with a collection that showed striking stripes paired with florals. Alice Temperley of Temperley London followed the unconventional stripe-clashing route on dresses, mixing stripes with architectural prints.
