EIGHT years ago, the world listened to Martin Tyler's commentary on Sergio Aguero's incredible title-winning goal for Manchester City on the final day of the season, deep into injury time, against Queens Park Rangers.

Tyler belted out as Aguero scored one of the most dramatic English Premier League (EPL) goals of all time : "Agueroooooooo... I swear, you'll never see anything like this ever again!"

Hand on heart, football fans thought we had truly seen it all. And then, 2020 struck. Or more specifically, Covid-19 happened. For over three months, football - and much of the sporting world - hit the pause button and fans, especially the ardent followers of Liverpool, wondered if the season would even restart. But English football eventually resumed on June 17. And for the first time, the EPL season is finishing at the end of July, at a time when the clubs are usually travelling around the world for pre-season tours.
