    IT’S barely two weeks to Christmas, and if your home still doesn’t look like something to go “ho ho ho” about, it’s time to do something about it. Help is at hand in tomorrow’s issue of BT Lifestyle, as we get decorating tips from the experts. The general consensus is not to go into overdrive, but keep things understated and in muted colours. Thanks to 17 private collectors, the exhibition Kaleidoscopes in Clay is an eye-opening journey into the history of this art form, with pieces that have never been seen in public before. Dating as far back as the Neolithic period to the iconic blue-and-whites of the Ming Dynasty, check out stunning pieces such as one of the largest amphoras ever seen from 1100 BC, and glazed stoneware from the Tang Dynasty.

    In Dining, we dispense with fine dining for a change, to get a taste of old-fashioned zi char at Kok Sen - a stalwart eatery that has moved to brighter and new surroundings just down the street from its original location.
