New website showcases the people behind creative firms and their stories.
KELLEY Cheng, creative director of publishing and design consultancy firm The Press Room, has spent much of her career documenting the works of numerous designers, both local and foreign.
"But I feel what is missing are the personal stories of these designers," says Ms Cheng, a President's Designer of the Year recipient. "Very frequently, designers publish monographs of their works, but not many publish biographies."
She feels so strongly that the stories about designers, their early days, struggles, sacrifices and their high and low points, should be told that she started Studio SML, a website much like an archive of mini-biographies.
