In 1961 Paris, three friends - an interior designer, painter and theatre director - got together and created Diptyque, which was originally supposed to create fabrics but became more successful with its line of scented candles. The company has since focused on luxury scented candles, home fragrances and body care. Diptyque candles are a household name, and a must in every hipster's home. Now, instead of buying them in multi-brand stores, the French perfumery label has got its own dedicated premises in Takashimaya shopping centre. You get to browse through its entire collection and pick from its classics as well as two new creations: Tempo, with its patchouli theme, and Fleur de Peau, a musk-themed fragrance.

The Diptyque store is at B1-33A, Takashimaya Shopping Centre
