Director's meal ticket to a comeback

IT has taken award-winning Taiwanese director Chen Yu-hsun 16 years to make a return to film but he promises the wait for his next movie won't take as long.

His latest work, Zone Pro Site: The Moveable Feast, has become one of the year's biggest domestic box office hits, raking in NT$300 million (S$12.7 million) in ticket sales since opening in mid-August.

With his producers, including Lee Lieh, who was in Singapore with Chen last week to promote the comedy, on his back to come up with a prequel, it looks like he doesn't have much of a choice either.
