MIRAZUR chef Mauro Colagreco's cameo-only appearance at his upcoming Singapore pop-up has caused a stir among some Mandala Club members who insisted on refunds when they learnt that the celebrated chef would not be in town for the full three month event.
Although a 12-member team from the three Michelin-starred restaurant on the French Riviera are in town and currently serving their 14-day Stay Home Notice (SHN) at a local hotel before the event begins on May 14, chef Colagreco will be travelling on a special pass facilitated by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) which exempts him from serving SHN. Under a tightly controlled itinerary, it is understood that he will be in Singapore for the opening two weeks, and possibly intermittently during the event.
