ONE of life's most painful experiences is being put on hold. It's even worse when the person you're trying to talk to is the receptionist at a medical facility, and all you want is an appointment with someone who can take away your pain. Instead, you're subjected to tediously repetitive musical call tones, or worse, instructions to consult the clinic's website.
Technology company Jireh Group hopes to change all that with their launch of GetDoc, an app which lets users search a database of doctors and dentists and allows for instant bookings.
The founder of Jireh Group Shung-Toon Woon says: "As Singaporeans, we have the same demands as patients and the same impatience levels when it comes to getting quality service. This platform allows people to book appointments with reputed doctors at any time, in any place."
