ASK anyone to name a famous building in Singapore, and Marina Bay Sands and Jewel Changi Airport are likely to come to mind.

Despite being only 56 years old, Singapore also boasts a rich modern built heritage, with many iconic buildings designed by local architects and built during the 1970s and 1980s.

Some unfortunately, such as the old National Library at Stamford Road, the former National Stadium and Pearl Bank Apartments which are of architectural and historical significance have already been erased from the cityscape.
