THE confetti was pouring overhead and she grasped the gleaming trophy tightly in her hands, but still Dominika Cibulkova couldn't quite believe what she had accomplished.
On Sunday night, the 27-year-old Slovakian captured the biggest prize of her career - the BNP Paribas Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Finals Singapore presented by SC Global - by defeating the world No 1 player Angelique Kerber in straight sets.
