Wild Rice's award-winning, all-male production of Oscar Wilde's classic play The Importance Of Being Earnest returns to the stage once more. Under Glen Goei's direction, much of the clutter of the play's Victorian mustiness has been cleared away to allow Wilde's extraordinary epigrams to come through. The actors deliver their lines in so crystalline a fashion that every word and witticism is made to count. The cast includes beloved comedians Hossan Leong and Chua Enlai, as well as theatre doyen Ivan Heng playing that iconic paragon of Victorian propriety herself, Lady Bracknell.
