An enjoyable old school monster mash

IT'S only March but you can almost smell the summer blockbusters in the air. The Wolverine swansong Logan has barely clawed its way out of multiplexes and King Kong is already stomping into cinemas with the origin film Kong: Skull Island.

As far as creature features go, it's hard to beat this one for size. This entertaining rumble in the jungle is a hoot and ticks all the boxes for a blockbuster - ensemble cast, check; eye-popping CGI, check; epic action sequences, check.

The only thing the audience needs to bring is their own bags of popcorn to complete the experience.
