Ex-CEO wins UOB Painting of the Year

Yong Wee Loon, former Asia head of Charles Taylor Adjusting, sweeps two major prizes at annual art competition

    LONG-TIME insurance boss Yong Wee Loon has clinched two of the biggest prizes at the 43rd UOB Painting of the Year competition.

    Not only did he take home the Singapore title in the Established Artist category, he also clinched the UOB South-east Asian Painting of the Year award, besting thousands of artists from across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.

    Yong was formerly chief executive officer of Asia (Property and Casualty) at the global loss-adjusting firm Charles Taylor Adjusting, and has held senior roles at AIG Asia-Pacific and GAB Robins.
