Fashion pivots online, mulls sustainability
IF there was a catwalk of the future, the star model might be named Rae. She's not even human, but a purple-haired, computer-generated avatar with over half a million followers on social media. She is the star of Singapore's digital fashion festival The Front Row, which returns for the second year. She will "walk" the runway with four real-life models.
In tomorrow's BTLifestyle, we look at the future of fashion in light of the pandemic, which has forced most brands to pivot online, as well as new trends in sustainability, which is the theme of the festival. We also turn the spotlight on three Singapore-born designers who are making their debut at The Front Row.
Meanwhile, as the heatwave continues, we visit an unconventional tropical house to see how it keeps its inhabitants cool.
And speaking of heat, if the latest dining-in ban is driving you to drink at home, don't just settle for home-delivered cocktails. Learn more about wine and beer through virtual masterclasses and pick up tips on craft beer appreciation.
