Get the year-end celebrations going
IT'S beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and even if it's not the most wonderful time of the year, this is a good time to look back, reflect on the life-defining 2020 and indulge in a bit of festive glamour.
BTLuxe Christmas is an annual special issue that puts a luxury spin on the Yuletide season. With everyone literally "home for the holidays", we're looking at how people are making it a memorable time. We gather personalities who are well-known in their respective fields - actress/filmmaker Jeanette Aw; industrial designer Nathan Yong; founders of cocktail bar Jigger & Pony Indra Kantono and Gao Guoyi; and managing director of MTM Skincare Kelly Keak - who sum up the year from each of their perspectives.
We also get the celebrations going with tips and recipes for home cooks tackling Christmas dinner, courtesy of acclaimed chef Drew Nocente who creates a fantastic feast with supermarket ingredients. If you're looking for ideas to decorate your home, get some inspiration from former beauty queen Amanda Leong, whose 18-foot-high tree in her Bukit Timah bungalow will elicit some serious bauble envy. And if you're still moping over the closure of the Singapore-Hongkong travel bubble, we offer you some more far flung destinations to include in your travel plans next Christmas.
