When stuck at home, we blow money on food

THE pandemic seems to have made Singapore food lovers extremely hungry, as the F&B scene has exploded with dining options since the city came out of lockdown last June. With people still unlikely to travel until at least the last quarter of the year, we've seen a hive of activity, especially in the mid-high to high-end market as diners divert their holiday savings into more expensive meals, especially at Japanese restaurants.

In tomorrow's issue of BTLifestyle, we check out what new openings are in store this year. Apart from a preview of the long-awaited Waku Ghin, there are new openings by Michelin-starred chefs, imported concepts and of course, more Japanese eateries to add to the bursting sushi scene.

If you're also spending on watches, we check out two brands to put your money on. We talk to Zenith's CEO about the new Chronomaster Sport, and find out more about TAG Heuer's new collaboration with sports car marque Porsche.

For some entertaining fare, get your tickets to Wild Rice's The Amazing Celestial Race, an irresistibly funny production that will bring you back to the pre-pandemic days of theatre.

In Dining, we step into the retro surroundings of Marcy's to sample seafood with a twist.
