Festive Flicks

It's that time of the year when festive films start taking over cinemas to cash in on those looking for some reprieve from Chinese New Year house-visiting.

We are not terribly excited over Jackie Chan's mixed live-action period fantasy The Knight of Shadows: Between Yin and Yang (opens Feb 5), judging from its CGIheavy trailer, so thank goodness for two alternatives.

The first is Pang Ho-cheung's Missbehaviour (now showing) which uses the usual ensemble cast gimmick common for festive films but has an offbeat plot about a group of friends who put aside their differences to hunt down a bottle of breast milk.
