01 A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS (1965)
There's no better film to get you in the spirit of things than A Charlie Brown Christmas. This 25-minute animation has everything that you would appreciate: It is brief, smart, sardonic and freely available on YouTube. It has a gorgeous jazz soundtrack by the Vince Guaraldi Trio which, incidentally, is the highest-selling jazz record of all time next to Miles Davis' Kind of Blue. It also has this perfect piece of dialogue for the BT reader:
Lucy: I never get what I really want. I always get a lot of stupid toys or a bicycle or clothes or something like that.
